As of July 1, 2026, the SOS Fund can only accept new clients for the following reasons:

• A tax sale foreclosure or ground rent ejectment action has already been filed against the homeowner or family member living in the home (city-wide);

• The property owner is deceased and the family members are seeking to file a new deed (city-wide).

• A homeowner in Maryland Legislative District 45 has outstanding property taxes or other municipal (Baltimore City) debt.

• The property owner is deceased and family members are not sure what to do with the property.
